TALENT SHOW 2000

SISTERS IN THE SPOTLIGHT

The legendary Andrews Sisters met the renowned Blues Brothers in an historic show business encounter on Sunday, July 23, 2000. The Andrews are played by Crockett choreographer Kim Bauer (left), Shannon Noe (center) of Pinole, and Rene Brown, also of Crockett.

TALENT SHOW FAVORITE

Vocalist Mackenzie Marshall of Concord made her fourth appearance in the Port Costa Talent Show. Past performances have included "Colors of the Wind" and "Over the Rainbow."

TIN PAN ALLEY?

Like a Pied Piper from another planet, Port Costa artist Clayton Bailey plucks a tune on one of his arcane musical instruments, the Jawsaphone, which he played at the Port Costa Talent Show.

PERFORMANCE ART

Colleen Kennedy, Barbara Wilkinson and Jacque Kennedy, the fabulous Oo-La-La's, returned to the stage at the Port Costa Talent Show, joined by the legendary Who-La-La's.  Photographed at the Epperson Gallery in Crockett.

TAP HAPPY

They have taps on their shoes, taps on their thighs and taps on their hands, and when they put them all together, they make the joint jump. They're Kim's Kalifornia Girls, winners of the Purple Ribbon, the judges' top award at the California-Nevada Dupree Dance Competition. Left to right are Shaina Drumright, Jamie Lugo, Maria Montano and Shannon Noe, all of Pinole, and Rene Brown of Crockett.  Photographed at Steps Dance Studio, Rodeo

WHO'S THAT BEHIND THOSE FOSTER GRANTS?

Not one to rest on her laurels, Ginger the Wonder Dog faced the biggest challenge of her career, The Hoop of Flame! This had never been done before! A must see act at the Port Costa Talent Show last July 23rd!

UP IN THE AIR OVER YOU

Stiltwalkers Molly and Kyle Campbell assume a lofty perch as they practice their art for the Port Costa Talent Show.  The event took place at the Port Costa School (above, background).
